Bryn-y-felin has 3 bedrooms, 1 double with en-suite bathroom, another double and a twin bedded room, with
ample wardrobe space. The bathroom has a large shower, basin and WC.(The en-suite bathroom has a bath, basin and WC). The lounge has comfortable leather seating, Digital
TV/DVD/Video/Stereo. There is also a multifuel stove which makes it warm and
cosy in the winter months. The Kitchen has all the usual appliances including a
dishwasher. The large farmhouse table seats 6 people comfortably

reading at the end of your stay, Linen is provided as is the use of a High chair
and travel cot. Outside there is a boot room/bicycle store with garden
around the house from which one can look out to Beddgelert. it is fully enclosed
and so is ideal for children and dogs. The upper garden has a seating/dining
area to make the most of the stunning setting. The large drive ensures that your car is safely parked
off of the road. an asset in Beddgelert where parking is restricted. A 5 minute walk along the path by the River Glaslyn
brings you into the village, where there are Pubs, a Bistro, the renown Ice
Cream Bar, Craft shops, Cafe, Grocery Store, P.O. and Newsagents. Bryn-y-Felin is a Grade II listed former mill house.
It is now the only surviving building of the Bryn-y-Felin Estate that owned
lands around Beddgelert - just ruins remain of a copper mine in the hills above
the house and evidence of a mill by the river. When the estate was broken up
the land was sold to the National Trust and the house became a private dwelling.
This has protected the land from being developed, so that there are uninterupted
views of mountains and pasture land. Situated on its own, but only 300 metres from the village,
Bryn-y-Felin offers the best of both worlds - on your doorstep are many walks
including by the River Glaslyn which is a few metres away leading to the famous
Aberglaslyn Pass with fishing,canoeing and swimming available. The Welsh Highland Railway is being rebuilt (due to
open in 2009) and runs behind the house on its journey from Caernarfon to Porthmadog,
when it will provide stunning views of mountains and valleys. The station in
Beddgelert is also being rebuilt which will provide convenient access to the
train. The cottage is ideally located for the many facilities
within the National Park - Walking, Cycling, Golf, Watersports and Climbing
Beaches at Black Rock Sands, Criccieth and Harlech Castles at Caernarfon, Conway and Harlech N G Railways - Festiniog, Welsh Highland, Llanberis
Lake, Snowdon Mountain PLUS the wonderful scenery - lakes, rivers and mountains
