Bryn-y-Felin is a Grade II listed former mill house. It is now the only surviving building of the Bryn-y-Felin Estate that owned lands around Beddgelert - just ruins remain of a copper mine in the hills above the house and evidence of a mill by the river. When the estate was broken up the land was sold to the National Trust and the house became a private dwelling. This has protected the land from being developed, so that there are uninterupted views of mountains and pasture land.

Situated on its own, but only 300 metres from the village, Bryn-y-Felin offers the best of both worlds - on your doorstep are many walks including by the River Glaslyn which is a few metres away leading to the famous Aberglaslyn Pass with fishing, canoeing and swimming available.

The Welsh Highland Railway is being rebuilt (due to open in 2009) and runs behind the house on its journey from Caernarfon to Porthmadog, when it will provide stunning views of mountains and valleys. The station in Beddgelert is also being rebuilt which will provide convenient access to the train.
